Understand the problem.
Build a plan of care.

I assess, diagnose and provide hands-on treatment for musculoskeletal conditions: problems affecting muscles, joints and related structures. Clinical assessment guides an individual plan of care, including when pain persists over time.

WHAT I WORK WITH

Pain and difficulty moving

You can see me for assessment of back pain, neck pain and stiffness, shoulder problems and other muscle or joint pain, including problems associated with sport and everyday activities.

Your history and examination help establish a working diagnosis, explain the options and determine whether osteopathic treatment is appropriate. Where further investigation or other expertise is needed, care includes referral to an appropriate professional.

CHRONIC / PERSISTENT PAIN

When pain continues over time

Persistent pain deserves attention both to symptoms and to their impact on life. We consider activities that have become difficult, sleep, concerns and what matters to you. Goals may include moving with greater confidence, returning to meaningful activities and finding sustainable ways to manage pain.

In my osteopathic practice, hands-on treatment also plays a central role in persistent pain care when indicated by assessment. Techniques are selected and adapted to your tolerance, goals and response to treatment. Exercise, pain-management guidance and personalised advice complement care; breathing and body awareness practices may also support it. We review progress together and work with other professionals where needed.

01

Listening and assessment

We discuss your symptoms, health and everyday activities. A movement assessment helps build a picture and establish whether osteopathic care is appropriate or another professional is needed.

02

Agreed hands-on treatment

Hands-on treatment may include joint mobilisation and manipulation, soft tissue techniques, myofascial release and muscle energy techniques, using guided muscle contractions. Clinical assessment guides the choice. I explain the options and we agree how to proceed, respecting your comfort and consent.

03

Movement in real life

Care continues with personalised advice and movements that fit your day. We review your response together and adapt the approach and goals.
